HITTING YOUR KIDS


Should parents be allowed to hit their children? If so how far? In my opinion yes but only to a certain limit. I say yes because it teaches them right from wrong, and respect. There also is a limit to hitting their kids.

First it teaches you right from wrong. In my life time when I did something wrong it got hit and learned to not do it again. I learned from my mistakes. All my mistakes help me today because I never made the same mistake twice. When you do not teach your kids right from wrong they keep doing wrong. This is one of the reasons why the crime rate is so high this year. Parents did not teach their kids write from wrong at a young age.

Next it teaches respect. Respect is a big part in school and life. If you do not teach your kids respect, they act up in school, and you can not control your kids anymore. But if you teach your kids respect and when they do not display it you should beat them so you can show them you are not playing around with them.

Last parents do take hitting their kids to far. For example in the story “Huck Finn” his father kicked him, and left marks on his body, and etc. this is a example of taking it to far when it comes to hitting your kids.

In conclusion hitting your child is not all way a bad thing if you do not take it to far, as you can see in this paper.
